Muslim hain hum, watan sara jahan hamara....

Nasrun Mir, One of my Kashmiri journalist friend is doing a feature on perception of young Indian Muslims about Kashmir Conflict. He sent me two questions (below in Italic) to answer. I would like to share my responses with you and would like to know your views on the same.

Can you relate to Kashmiri youth?

Yes, being married in Kashmir I am obviously related to Kashmiri youth. But if this question is political then I only support the cause to cease the human rights violations and demilitarization. I support the nonpartisan implementation of laws and accountability at all levels. But I do not support the cause of autonomy or complete independence as Muslim Indian.

Do you feel as a Muslim that Kashmiri struggle is for their identity and has nothing to do with religion?

I strongly feel that Kashmiri struggle is for Kashmiri Identity and has nothing to do with religion. Islam does not promote the concept of Nationalism. In Islam there are only two nations Muslim and Non-Muslim. Thus to associate Jihad and Islam with Kashmir issue is baseless. I am sad to express that majority of Kashmiri Muslims are engaged in Shirk and Bidat. My preference as Muslim would be to produce better Muslims in Kashmir than Muslim Kashmiri state.

Another common observation in J&K is the differences in Jammu, Kashmir and Laddakh regions. The people in valley give an inferior eye to the people of the other two regions neglecting the fact that Muslims constitute good percentage in Jammu. Kashmiri's say that their culture and language are different thus the two communities are poles apart. I agree, but freedom/autonomy through referendum will need their votes. A few districts of the valley can not over rule the views of the other two regions. Although the possibility is less but if India goes for the referendum, then I don’t feel that the isolated Kashmir will have numbers to put forth their demands.

We, the Muslim Indian did not choose to migrate to Pakistan. We faced the all the burn of the great divide, all the vengeance was directed towards us. An environment was created to make us feel that we were responsible for the divide and this propaganda made it easier for the anti Muslim forces to pushes us toward the backwardness. At this juncture when Muslim community is expecting a ray of hope, we can not support a lingual minority (unfortunately Muslim) to push the entire community into the vain once again.

Cheen o arab hamara, hindustan hamara
muslim hain hum, watan sara jahan hamara...

Boss's Biz Wiz

1. In consulting biz:
Produce Quality
Take care of client,
Take care of staff.

2. Rules of Success:
Rule 13: When put in charge take charge
Rule 14: Do what is right what makes sense
Rule 15: Never sell your soul.

3. Three key to success:
Key 1 - Follow up,
Key 2 - Follow up,
Key 3 - Follow Up.

he said if you remember the AIM, follow the RULES and keep the KEY - Money will follow you.

Every day we learn something in our lives. But these 17 months with him were great learning experience and a pleasure to work. Apart from the above wisdom there were several other lessons that I like:

4. Run Towards the Roar,
5. Never commit more than you can deliver,
6. It never ends unless it is the end,
7. If you speak the truth you don't need to remember.

I want to write a full series on each of these conclusions that he made on several occasions in our project. I personally admired the concept of Sustainability and Flexibility in American business model, so these two concept will come amalgamated with the above wisdom.

I hope, I will get enough time to write this series. I also hope you guys will enjoy reading it...COMING SOON

Abbu ke naam...

Usse haath mein lete hi,
Uska chehra dekhte hi,
Uske Galon ko chute hi,
Uske Kano mein azAAn dete hi
ek aisa ehsaas sa hua
jaise sabse azeez cheez ho meri
Meri beti!!!
In chand palo ne
Zindagi ka har waraq mera
guzre barson ka har nazara
yaad dila diya ho jaise...

Abbu ki awAaz ka woh pehla ehsaas
Unki surkh ankon ka woh khauff
Unki ungliyon ke sahare mera chalna,
Unka mujhe har roz parhana,
Mujhe aligarh pahuchana,
Mujhe har shaam phone karna,
Meri bimari mein rathon ko na sona,
Meri mohabbat se unka aiteraaz hona,
Meri shadi se unka inkaar hona,
Mera unse narAaz hona,
Unko iska malAal hona,
Phir meri shadi karawanA,
Aur eliza ka paida hona.

Itna waqt laga mujhe
Yeh ehsaas hone mein
Bache nahi samjh sakte
Maa-baap ka bachon se pyAar

Aaj mujhe ahsaas to hai

Aye Khuda !!!!!
Yeh tera kaisa nizaam hai
Ek haath mein khushi deta hai
Dusre mein gham
Kya yeh tera tariqa tha
Mujhe ehsaas dilane ka
Ki tu hi malik hai
yeh Ghum bhi tera hai
yeh Khushi bhi teri hai
Hum bhi tere hain
Kayanath bhi teri hai...

Haven or Hell ?

Being married in Kashmir I got a chance to meet the people of the valley closer than other Indians. My perspective has definitely changed after my visits to Kashmir. Recent political developments in Kashmir are disturbing but the way both state and union governments have responded are even more disheartening because...

Neglecting the fact that naxals are killing Jawans, Indian government has avoided using Army against them, arguing that they are our people (Indian). Contrarily, in Kashmir India is deploying army and killing stone pelters. Are these protesters killing any one? We need army to control protester in Kashmir while we don't need them for the Maoists in red Jungles. If Kashmiri's are not Indian then how can Kashmir be India's?

For last few days media has been promoting audio tapes of separatist leaders plotting and financing these protests. Their involvement is subject of investigation but the real question is why does the Kashmiri youth respond to their calls. The youth is responding because of the deep resentment against ignorant Indian state.

Being an Indian, it is indeed unpleasant to hear anti-India slogans but I will prefer to be honest Indian than unjust Indian. I would like my country to listen to the voice of Kashmir and address their issues with a big and open heart. I want history to remember our India as a Real Democracy than a Fake one.
